There is almost so much to do in the Hunter Valley that you couldn’t possibly do it all (which is a perfect excuse to come back!). So that’s why we like to tote the line “Do nothing, do something. The choice is yours and there is no rush.”
On the vineyard, feel free to wander the vines, the orchard, the olive grove, the rose garden, the veggie patch, say hi to the chickens, hang out on the jetty (watch out for the moody geese), relax on your verandah, sun bake or fall asleep under the oak tree while trying to read your book. Or better yet just cosy up inside with a glass of wine.
In the region there is plenty to do as well – horse riding, cycling, hot air ballooning, wine tasting, fine dining, indulging in spa treatments and golfing, just to name a few.
Escape to flourishing wine country, where world-famous wineries, acclaimed restaurants, delicious local produce and luxurious hideaways await. Surrounded by magnificent natural beauty, and only two hours from Sydney, the Hunter Valley is an unrivalled destination that has delighted since vines first thrived in the 1820s.
The scenic Broke Fordwich stretch of the Wollombi Brook has quietly developed into a quality wine tourism region where visitors can enjoy premium wines, fresh olive oils and innovative farm gate products, wonderful restaurants and cafes, luxury Hunter Valley accommodation, local wine tours, and most importantly, a tranquil rural experience which is far removed from the hustle and bustle.
